This program can be delivered in a traditional classroom setting
or in a E-Learning
computer based format.
Work related motor vehicle collisions are likely the most injurious
and costly type of incident employers experience. In the
past, employers tended to rely on the police reports to tell them
what happened, however given the implications of worker compensation
claims and the potential of third party liability, a more in depth
investigation is called for.
Many employers are now realizing the benefit
of conducting their own collision investigations, and a critical
part of that is the gathering of evidence immediately after any
collision. Due to distance and travel factors investigations
are usually launched by drivers using a collision information
booklet provided by an insurance company.
The goal of this session is to inform drivers as to the rationale
of the questions contained in these report forms. As well,
how with a little extra effort they might gather additional evidence
that could prevent unnecessary lawsuits and/or workers compensation
claims and the accompanying costs.
