Incident Investigation and Analysis


A full-day program covering all aspects of the investigation process from pre-planning to determining corrective actions. The program is based on the CSA (Canadian Standards Association) Z796-98 standard on "Accident Information" and is an introductory course with no previous subject knowledge required.

 

Audience: Supervisors, safety committee members, safety practitioners, and others required to investigate workplace accidents.
Experience Level:       No previous subject knowledge is required. This is an introductory course.
Objectives: Participants will identify accident investigation program elements and requirements as established by legislation, industry standards, and best practice research.

Using case studies, participants will determine accident causes based on witness and physical evidence, and flow-charting of contributing events and conditions.
